Construction of the new pumped hydro project in Queensland is due to start this year. The Borumba Dam power plant will have a capacity of 2,000 Megawatts and is planned to be completed by 2033.
The project is located near Imbil in the Gympie Region local government area in the Wide Bay-Burnett region.
