That's the difference between a documentary and a biopic, isn't it... Sadly the media literacy out there is so low that people don't get it. The Big Short, as amazing as it was, was not a documentary...

Of course I partly blame Morgan Spurlock and Ben Mezrich for this. Marketing yourself as non fiction and then backpedalling when called out.... But it's been forever the case, all the way back to Plutarch (who at least offered "more reasonable explanations).
