Australia is emerging as a world leader in battery energy storage, with Western Australia leading adoption by installing approximately 1,400 megawatts of capacity in just three years. Large-scale battery facilities like those in Kwinana and Collie are stabilizing electricity prices, enabling coal power station retirements, and shifting renewable energy from daytime generation to evening peak demand.

One of the good things labor has done, focusing on renewables is going to be a vital part for energy independence and resilience.

Others are just going to remain dependent on petro and gas states and their threats

Chris Bowen is the quiet achiever in the Labor cabinet. Home battery scheme, city-scale batteries in WA and SA, novated lease scheme to drive EV adoption, ARENA has started building truck chargers for a future electric freight truck network, there's a country-wide government EV charging network starting construction. It's quite a nice portfolio of work, which I'm sure the Liberals would love to dismantle if they regained power somehow.

He also answers questions directly when being interviewed. He doesn't waffle or spin like Chalmers does.
