Hey, welcome to everyone arriving from the /r/BuyAussie post. We've had a big influx of signups today and it's great to see.
The site is still early and the community is small, but it's actively developed and I'm working on it daily. A few things that might help you get started:
- Browse the existing communities and subscribe to anything that interests you
- Create a community if there's a topic you care about that doesn't exist yet
- The Feedback button in the bottom-right corner goes straight to me if you find bugs or have suggestions
Thanks for checking out the site!

Looking forward to seeing how this goes and love to support a local tech company!
Glad to have you here!
That's how I found you. And, look, I was early enough to get my name!
Same here! I thought I would have been too late hahah
I've recently got into watches. So here we are.
The watchman enjoyes watches, it checks out.
Same :)
Three characters is platinum tier rarity username. There has to be some reward for signing up early while it's still quiet!
That is a hell of a username get, early bird gets the worm!
Hah wondering if I should have tried my name. Oh well, been using this one for a while on other platforms when I can - it’s normally taken so I’m happy!
There has to be some advantage to joining a small site and username availability is it! 😂
Oh hi! I just made an account after seeing that post. Great idea, I'll fold this into my daily routine alongside Reddit
Welcome aboard, hope you enjoy it here!
Oh, hi Mark
Cant wait to see where this site is gonna go from here, all the best!
Excited to be part of this new venture, would gladly trade a US platform for an Aussie website.
I'm fully behind moving away from US companies and appreciate the considerations you have made (privacy first etc.).
1 question: Which hosting company are you using?
Binary Lane, they use NextDC facilities in Melbourne, so it's not with any US provider.
Nice work dude. Keen to give it a few Reddit mins each day.
It'd be so nice to have an Aussie alternative, even a little would be great
Appreciate the support!
Found your post in BuyAussie and signed up. Definitely keen to support Australian owned Social Media so we can break away from the US craziness.
Thanks for signing up! Glad to have you on board. Australia's always punched above its weight - no reason we can't do the same with social media.
Gentlemen, this is democracy manifest
We have to break the connection between political donations and our media by using sites like this. The weak point will be the moderation and the more users it gets the more likely bots become active.
This is what we need more of! More Australian focused, independent online media. Well done! Lets hope this takes off.
We're a very capable country and having travelled a bit, genuinely one of the nicest places to live on the planet. Hopefully more stuff gets made locally.
Great idea! Please let me know if you need any help now or in the future
Me too!! :3
Hope this will take off soon!
Super duper mate
It's nice to be here! Very excited to see how this all unfolds :)
Welcome!
Thank you!
Also here from that post! Keen to follow this project and see how it goes, hoping it kicks off! Looking forward to an iOS app which I think I saw was planned in the coming months - I’ll try and have a shortcut on Home Screen in the meantime.
Good work, love the idea of breaking off from US-owned social media!
Edit: adding to Home Screen as a web app seems to have worked nicely! Feels natural as is :)
Thanks! The home screen shortcut is a good stop gap (I'm using it too) and iOS should be out before you know it.
Agreed with other comments here! Glad to see and Aussie alternative to overseas social media, and to support Aussie made! Came here fro.m the reddit post. All the best for the ongoing growth of this platform and well done mate!
Appreciate it, thanks for the support!
Thanks for posting in BuyAussie, otherwise I might never have come across this locally grown and owned site.
Here’s to being weaned off Reddit.
Thanks for joining!
Definitely need more of these local tech initiatives.
It'd be nice to have a local social media alternative take off.
Just signed up from the Reddit post.
Good to be on board with a local company.
Wow, what an absolutely superb idea. I'm not really a reddit contributor but do rely on it from time to time for various information and news. However, with the principles that you've established here I feel like this is a place I'd want to meaningful contribute to. Fantastic work!
Thanks, appreciate the support!
