Queensland opened Mater Hospital Springfield, a 186-bed public hospital southwest of Brisbane expected to serve 185,000 patients annually, but the Catholic-run facility will not provide abortions, contraception, or voluntary assisted dying care due to religious policies. The $638 million government-funded hospital will become fully operational in coming days and employ nearly 1,000 healthcare workers.
Inexplicable that they're still receiving public funding if they refuse to adhere to state requirements. Labor refusing to do anything is just standard modus operandi for them. Albanese always has to be forced to act in almost any area by the Greens. All the recent housing tax changes were caused by the Green's senate inquiry into intergenerational inequity.
