These tracks are all mid-tempo and funky with heavy layers of percussion and bass alongside mellow lyrics and spoken word. Dub is very easy to dance to, no exceptions here.

Lets start at Dub's predecessor Roots-Reggae. The crossover point is defined by the 1987 track Jungle from Dub Syndicate. Its dub but oh so rasta. Along came Leftfield with the delightful Fanfare for Life in 1992. A new electronic style was here.

In 1999 Banco De Gaia released Touching The Void. The British claim to the style grew. The same year Legion of Green Men released Constellation. The Adham Shaikh remix of this track is also heavenly.

Sounds from the Ground released Mineral in 2001 and Ibizarre released Boy On The Rock the following year. By the time Solar Quest released Tokers Dream (Remix) in 2006 it was assured that Dub was here to stay.
